So I’ve been a little quiet on here recently. I am reading more, and taking some time to reflect on what I need in life. Big changes are coming for us personally (all positive) but it’s a lot to think about and I only have so many post it notes available in my head 😂 I just need to pause.. I may post but at the moment it won’t be every day! Xxx
My wonderful SIL @bethanyrosanna5 made these @janespatisserie lemon slices and OMG I had to shout about them. She is usually my baking partner but lockdown put a stop to out kitchen meets. I hope they will resume pronto 🥰
We went to Marwell Zoo yesterday to take the boys out for a school holidays trip (it chucked it down all day) but no joke the only time the sun shone was when these babies were revealed. Super tangy and full of sugar and yummy ness, it was the best treat.
So much so that I had one for my pudding after takeaway last night and just scoffed another 😳🤣
REVIEW – DELICIOUSLY ELLA THAI CURRY – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 @deliciouslyella
This only lost a star based on texture. It felt more like a thick soup than it did a curry, however the taste delivered 100% and I enjoyed the texture especially with my whole meal pitta.
This is a vegan frozen meal. It’s SO easy and takes just 6 minutes in the microwave so perfect for those evenings where you just don’t have much time.
Been out of touch for a few days – it’s been the first time I’ve properly seen my mum since January which is the longest I think we’ve really been apart!
I’ve napped, read my book, we’ve shopped and been out to @thecoastbar restaurant and filled our tummy’s ❤️ a perfect weekends rest from being a mummy to relax.
This banoffee waffle was insane. We shared one between the two of us but oh man was it yummy! Super intense toffee which I like 👌🏻👌🏻
COURGETTE, SUNDRIED TOMATO & PEPPER AND BLACK OLIVE BREAD
Well this turned out a treat! Super easy with a no ride bake and a great addition to an afternoon spread when entertaining.
Can be made vegan although this one hasn’t. Then either serve with buttery flavoured Flora or if you eat fish then an anchovy butter.

This is a Greek mezze dish which packs a punch in flavour and delivers on cinnamon which just does it for me 🥰 in heaven!
Ripped out of a @goodhousekeepinguk magazine – swipe for the recipe 🙂
Easily altered to fit different diets. @violife_foods Do a great Greek cheese alternative and there are GF pittas out there too!
‘FAKEAWAY’ ORANGE CAULIFLOWER
I was inspired by @veganbunnychef , whose version of this looked sooooo good.
For mine, I changed hardly anything from her recipe other than adding maple syrup in place of some water in the sauce and put some spring onions on top. I also used coconut milk instead of soy but I’m pretty sure you could use just what’s in the store cupboard.
Totally worth battering cauliflower for which is a bit of a messy job in my opinion and one I’ll admit I don’t find wholly enjoyable! But my husband has asked when we’re having it again so it’s a massive hit so battering I will do again 😂😂
REVIEW: ‘COOK’ MUSHROOM BOLOGNAISE
My husband was away for the night this week and I’ve had so much NVQ studying to do, I needed a quick and easy meal to keep me full.
@thecookkitchen do fantastic frozen meals and I have a store in Salisbury just 10 minutes from us so I grabbed this when I was in town running errands.
Took 6 mins in the microwave and although I was initially sceptical and I had slightly watery edges – it tasted super good! I added a dash of Parmesan on top which soaked up the juices and 👌🏻👌🏻
I am hoping to try more of their dishes soon and will report back !! (Also – they deliver 🤘🏻🤘🏻)
RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS FEED (RAOK)
🌼I will be picking someone at random to gift too🌼
So this may or may not work but please bear with me as I think it’s a nice idea and works well on 😂 I got this idea from @musingsofamedic_ via my food page @lottiesbookclub who has a fabulous book account of you want to expand your genres on here!
So the idea is that you can randomly send someone a gift of their amazon wish list and maybe recieve something back too! So..
1. Set up an amazon wish list and post it on the ‘website’ section of your bio. (Look at mine for an example of what I’ve put on it). (You need to have it set to public and be okay with the sendee having access to your address in order to send a gift).
2. Post a comment on this feed tagging (1) Your insta bestie (2) An account that inspires your own cooking & (3) Someone new to Instagram
3. Send a gift to someone random who has posted a comment on this feed. When you gift make sure you say it from from this feed and who it’s from in the little gift tag bit. 🥰
Optional: Share this post so more people can know about it 🙂 There is no closing time on this – let’s just spread the love and hopefully other people will set up ‘ROAK’s too!
Then maybe you might recieve something too. Maybe not. But there’s something so lovely about giving to others and is supporting each other that I liked this idea.
Ethics: Please don’t take part if you only think you will receive. This is about sending love between us all ❤️
Make your wish list a range of prices to fit with a variety of budgets.
Tag me in anything you recieve so I can see ❤️
Lots of love xxx
